EASTER CELEBRATIONS

Navarino Agora welcomes Easter with a tapestry of authentic experiences that appeal to visitors of all ages and tastes.

On Holy Friday, there will be decoration and procession of the Epitaph, while the Resurrection Service will be held, with restaurants offering special Easter menus both on Holy Saturday and on Easter Sunday accompanied by modern music. Easter Monday festivities culminate with a Cocktail Street Party hosted by W Costa Navarino. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy live music from the band The Swinging’ Cats along with special cocktails by renowned bartender Alexandros Gikopoulos while discovering the art of floristry from the Athenian concept store, Kopria.

EASTER CELEBRATIONS

HOLY FRIDAY CELEBRATIONS – 03/05

On Holy Friday morning, join in the tradition of adorning the Epitaph with flowers as part of the Holy week’s traditions (5pm). Later in the day, attend the evening procession ceremony of the Epitaph, accompanied by the melodies of musicians from the Philharmonic of Pylos (7.30pm). Amidst these sacred traditions, delve into a variety of offerings at the bazaar located in the clock area of Navarino Agora, hosted by Coffee Island, Kostarellos, Cellier, The Smile of the Child and Martin’s. (10am-6pm)

HOLY SATURDAY CELEBRATIONS - 04/05

Visit the lively bazaar around the clock at Navarino Agora, featuring diverse products from Coffee Island, Kostarelos, Cellier, and Martin’s (10am-6pm), while ladies from Messinia prepare Easter cookies and sing local songs (12pm-2pm). In the evening, witness the Resurrection Service (Anastasi) that will take place at the Saint Eleni’s Chapel, in a spectacular display of silent fireworks lighting up the night sky (10pm).

EASTER SUNDAY CELEBRATIONS – 05/05

Enjoy Easter Sunday’s afternoon at Navarino Agora, where the festivities take on an Easter-day twist. Enjoy the bazaar hosted by Coffee Island, Kostarelos, Cellier, and Martin’s, as it continues its vibrant presence around the clock area in Navarino Agora (4pm-9pm). Meanwhile, restaurants will prepare specially curated dinner menus for the day. And as night falls, join the celebration of Easter as DJ Elias Fasos fills Navarino Agora with music, setting the atmosphere for a memorable evening.

FLOWER CELEBRATION WITH SWINGING CATS BY W COSTA NAVARINO - 06/05

Join the Flower Celebration with the lively tunes of the Swinging Cats hosted by W Costa Navarino, where we blend the May Day festivities with the arrival of spring at Navarino Agora. Enjoy the Boho Party while savouring unique cocktails and engage in creating unique flower arrangements by the Athenian based flower concept store, Kopria. Let’s celebrate the essence of spring and the joy of May Day. (5.30pm)

HISTORY LECTURES BY MARIA EFTHYMIOU AT NAVARINO AGORA - 23/05 & 24/05

The renowned historian, author of historical books, editor and university professor Maria Efthymioy, will deliver two exclusive lectures at Navarino Agora. With topics such as “Solitude or Community: Collective and Individual Life in Human History” on May 23^rd and “Navigation, Society, Economy: The Role of the Sea in World History,” on May 24^th Maria Eftymiou explores crucial themes, linking them to the modern era.
