Navarino Icons Extra Virgin Olive Oils awarded at Olivinus 2016

We are proud to announce that Navarino Icons Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil both received a Prestige Gold Medal at the 13th international Olivinus contest, among 198 companies from 17 countries. Olivinus is currently second in the prestigious Extra Virgin Olive Oils World Ranking.

Navarino Icons Estate Grown Extra Virgin Olive Oil is made from the acclaimed Koroneiki variety, grown in the seaside groves of Costa Navarino. Carefully harvested by hand from centuries-old trees without mechanical means, the olives are cold processed and malaxed (mixed) for less than 20 minutes to preserve their lovely fruity, spicy flavor and distinctive aroma.

The Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil is produced from olives grown without any chemical fertilizers or pesticides, using time-honored organic methods. It is made from the acclaimed Koroneiki variety, sustainably grown in centuries-old groves. Carefully harvested by hand without mechanical means, the organic olives are taken to a nearby mill within a few hours from picking to preserve all the nutrients, flavor and aroma and ensure the lowest possible acidity. The olives are immediately cold pressed and malaxed for less than 20 minutes so that they retain their fruity, spicy flavor and distinctive aroma.
