European Health & Spa award

Anazoe Spa at Costa Navarino was named winner of the “Best Hotel (Resort) Spa” category at this year’s  European Health & Spa Awards, at a prize-giving ceremony in Vienna on 15 September.

Known as the “Oscars” of the spa and wellness world, the Health & Spa Awards are presented following assessment of nominees by an independent jury who base their evaluation on nine criteria: Design & Technique, Health, Offers & Services, Economic Efficiency, Benefits, Creativity, Sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Anonymous Testing.

Anazoe Spa was selected for the quality of its health and spa facilities, as well as for its innovative and seamless services. The name “Anazoe” derives from the Greek word for rejuvenation and encapsulates the underlying aim of the spa, which is total revitalization of body and spirit in accordance with the ancient Greek maxim “a healthy mind in a healthy body”. The spa’s unique oleotherapy® signature treatments are based on ancient local practices inscribed on clay tablets that were discovered at the nearby Palace of Nestor. The treatments offered by Anazoe also make full use of the region’s exclusive natural ingredients and incorporate physiotherapy techniques taught by Hippocrates, the ”father” of western medicine.
