In addition to seasonal direct flights to Kalamata International Airport (KLX) from select destinations abroad, daily seasonal flights operate from Athens to Kalamata.
Aegean Airlines, the largest airline in Greece and member of the Star Alliance network, offers daily flights between Athens and Kalamata at times providing convenient connections to guests arriving from, and departing to, major European hubs.
As of March 2013, Aegean Airlines is introducing direct flights from Stockholm, Sweden and Munich, Germany whereas convenient connections to Munich from many German cities, are provided through the Star Alliance network. Aegean Airlines also offers one flight per week from Moscow, while Astra Airlines connects Kalamata with Thessaloniki airport.
As of July 2013 easyjet will introduce direct flights from London Gatwick Airport to Kalamata, twice per week. Also twice weekly, Ryanair will connect Milan Bergamo Airport with Kalamata, as of April 2013. During the season, Thomas Cook and Travel Services operate seasonal direct flights to Kalamata from the United Kingdom (London and Manchester), while SAS operates flights to Kalamata from Oslo, Transavia from Amsterdam as well as Czech Airlines from Prague.
As of May, flyniki / airberlin is flying directly to Kalamata from Vienna, at times allowing for convenient connections with feeder flights from Hamburg, Berlin, Hannover, Frankfurt, Nuremberg, Munich and Zurich. Also, Austrian myHoliday offers weekly flights connecting Vienna with Kalamata.
Visitors traveling by air from most European destinations should be able to check their luggage from their airport of departure all the way through to Kalamata, irrespective of any connecting flights, by simply specifying the airport code of their final destination (KLX).
A private helipad on-site also makes Costa Navarino directly accessible by air.
