Navarino Wine
Nectar of the gods
Since 6,500 BC the Greeks have been fermenting grape juice to produce wine, "the nectar of the gods".
Extending over western hillsides 500m to 600m from the sea, our vineyards at Costa Navarino are planted with a range of varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay and some local favorites. To take full advantage of the area's favorable microclimate, we plan to add some "experimental" vineyards where new varieties will be tested.
Harvested by hand and gently pressed at our winery, our grapes produce red and white vintages that are later bottled and stored in the Costa Navarino cellars. Guests are invited to observe or take part in this age-old process, while those visiting one of our dining venues are encouraged to taste and enjoy our various vintages.
